Mary Carol's parents ran a family owned appliance store downtown. It was 'the' place to go if you needed one, small or large. Two very nice people and known to all of the town at that time. Beverly's parents ran Sowell's Dry Cleaners, one of two Dry Cleaners in Pageland. The name of the restaurant the dairy bar bacame was actually The Fish Camp. They served a buffet for lunch and fresh fish and fries for dinner. It was still in business as late as 1990. Sometime after that, I heard it closed. It was such a successful business with such good food I was surprised.

The son and daughter of Jordan's Dairy bar were car hops there for a while. Jimmy Jordan bought my parents' home when mother decided to move to Florida in 1990 to be close to me after the death of my father and her sister. Small world.
