We're not sure of everyone who is in this photograph, but look carefully and you'll see Progressive Journal sports writer Jerry "Shug" Haigler in uniform.

Third from the right, first row, is Roland Mangum, long time member of the Pageland police force. He was a solid enforcement presence in Pageland dating back at least to the fifties when I was in high school.
