I might comment that I'm the eight year old in this photo. I remember the trip on the bus so clearly. I loved to draw, so drew pictures of the couples on the bus. This brought so much commotion and laughter that my father told me to put away my drawing pad for the rest of the trip:-) My mother, Augusta D. Campbell, is in this photo, too. She taught first grade until her retirement and was a wonderful teacher. When I was older and mother was retired, women would bring their grandkids by the house and say, 'this is who taught me in first grade'.

Ogden Sutton is second from the right seated, btw.
