I should've sent you more names. Our much loved band director and leader of the dance band, Kay Mills, is on the left front row. I'm next to him, then Eddie Watford and Ellen Graves.

On the back row are left to right, Billy Arant, Mickey Plyer, John Collins, 'K' Fewel Mills, Gene Walker and one member I can't identify.

We actually got paid for playing at other school proms, a big deal for a high school kid in a high school dance band.

I just received a link about Billy Arant, on bass guitar, from another former Pagelander, Ed Rivers. Dr Ed Rivers teaches creative writing at the U. of Colorado now. This link about Billy Arant gives an idea both of what he's accomplished ,as well as a feel for Pageland during the years he grew up here.
