We're not sure of everyone who is in this photograph, but look carefully and you'll see Progressive Journal sports writer Jerry "Shug" Haigler in uniform.

Before an incredible tenure with the Pageland Police Department (1942-1973), Floyd Cato played a little football in the sport's early days.

In this 1972 photo are, from left, Johnny Sowell, Chief Floyd Cato and Paul Burch. Today, Sowell is police chief, while Burch is a circuit court judge.
