This is a reproduction of a postcard brought by The Pageland Journal's office in 1965 by Joe Jewett, depicting the C&L Railroad depot "50 years ago." The depot was demolished in the early 1960s and the tracks "either covered up or removed."

This might be a good candidate for our Mystery History series, because I have no idea what the Southern Express Company was, or if this photo was even taken in Pageland. If you know, send me an e-mail at wmjournal@shtc.net.
